On Saturday, December 9, we will visit a live re-enactment of the ancient town of Bethlehem, where Jesus was born 2,000 years ago.  The re-enactment is in the town of Monticello, about 45 minutes north of Purdue.  The church Zion Bethel Church does extensive decorations in their gym (indoors!) and they dress up like people of 2,000 years ago.  We will be able to walk through the "streets of Bethlehem" and experience what it may have been like in Bethlehem at the time when Jesus was born.

We'll take a van and we'll leave from the Crosswalk Commons at 4:15pm that day.  From 5:00-5:45pm we will enjoy the re-enactment.

At 6:00pm we will have dinner together in Monticello.  After this dinner we will drive through a neighborhood that has many beautiful Christmas lights on display in their yard (like that shown on left).

On the way back, we can drop you off directly at your home.  We should be back to Purdue around 9pm.

Cost is $5.  This cost includes the meal and transportation.  You can sign up below, and then give the money to Dana or Lee sometime within the next week or so.
